Saygus is an American manufacturer of smartphones headquartered in South Jordan, Utah. founded by Chad Sayers.

Saygus won Best of State Awards in Utah in the Hardware/Firmware Development category in 2015 and 2016 and won three more in 2017 in the same category and in Telecommunications and Hardware categories as well. The Best of State Awards were created to recognize outstanding individuals, organizations and businesses in Utah. Best of State candidates are evaluated by a panel of judges based on three criteria: achievement in their endeavors; use of innovative approaches or methods; and contribution to a better quality of life in Utah.
Saygus won the CES 2015 Innovation Award in the Wireless Handsets category.

Devices
Saygus has developed two devices: VPhone and V² smartphone.
VPhone
Saygus' VPhone was intended for release in 2009, but did not go to market although it passed the Verizon Open Development Initiative lab and was listed as an approved and available product on the Verizon Wireless website with the other ODI approved products.
Saygus VPhone was featured at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show, winning the CES Best of Innovations Award in the Wireless Handsets category.

V' (V Squared- originally referred to as the V², but still called the V Squared)
Saygus V' was introduced at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, winning the CES Innovation Award in the Wireless Handsets category.
The V' was expected to ship on May 22, 2015, but delayed after manufacturing partners did not perform as agreed and according to contracted terms. In 2016, Saygus decided to organized its own team of hardware and software engineers to produce the award winning V Squared after so many issues with manufacturing partners. In September 2017, the V Squared passed the FCC.

Pre order stage
Until May 8, 2015, Saygus accepted pre order on its website only. Pre orders included V' phone + an extra battery + a custom glass screen protector for $549 (USD).
Since June 15, 2015 Saygus launch a second wave of pre order on Indiegogo
During pre order stage, Andreas Erhard, a V Squared enthusiast, helped Saygus better communicate with customers/users
Pre-orders will be able to exchange first version of Saygus V' for an updated version including Qualcomm® Snapdragon(TM) 835. running Android 7.1.2 (Nougat®).
